Reviews
I expected classic saudi flavors for kabsa and mandi but these flavors were different…I mean differently good!
Realised later that these were Syrian flavors after asking the person who served us.
Overall enjoyed the meal and service.
I regret to say that our experience at Soriana Restaurant was extremely disappointing. We drove 50 minutes only to waste our money and time. The customer service here is the poorest I've encountered throughout the US. The order taker's attitude was terrible, making us feel like we were in a fight rather than ordering a meal.
We ordered Madghot Lamb and politely requested to mix the Mandi and Madghot rice, but they rudely refused, saying it couldn't be done. Even when we offered to pay extra, they still refused.
Their Gyro looked appealing in pictures, but to our surprise, we were told the Gyro in the picture was for ToGo orders only. For dine-in, they could only provide us with the Gyro plate. Again, we asked for the ToGo Gyro at the plate's price, and once more, the order taker's attitude was rude and combative as he refused.
To make matters worse, the Madghout Rice and Lamb had an unpleasant odor, making it inedible. The Gyro plate turned out to be shredded beef with plain Khubuz bread, nothing like what was advertised in the pictures.
Furthermore, there were no welcoming greetings or goodbyes from the staff. If you're looking to be treated with disrespect, Soriana Restaurant is the right place to go. I rate the food 1/10 and the overall experience as abysmal.
Finally located the ideal Mediterranean eatery! It tasted like my hometown and the meal was excellent. The staff provided prompt, courteous service. The interior was clean and well-maintained. I'll return!
Came here specifically for the Mansaf,
I’m from Jordan so I definitely have really high standards when it comes to mansaf, it wasn’t fully traditional it didn’t have any bread or pine nuts.
I’d give it a solid 7/10.
Stay away from the kenafa, it’s overpriced & isn’t close to the real thing.
This is definitely a sketch area too.
Believe the bad reviews.
We chose this restaurant because it was the nearest halal restaurant closest to our hotel and as it was late, we didn’t want to go too far. My two sisters and I drove out and we’re going to bring it back to the hotel for the rest of our family.
We walk into an empty restaurant meaning there was no one else there except for the person at the front ( we’re guessing the owner) and another worker. We made our order and we sat down to wait at a table right near the register.
The cashier or owner barked, “You can’t sit there- that’s reserved.” “Can’t you see someone is already sitting there.”
We looked at the small square table amidst the countless other empty tables. The table we sat at had two empty paper cups.
There’s no call for anyone to talk to someone like that especially to three women. He could have said it any other way.
The food isn’t worth the service or atmosphere. We forgave him however we also think when you go to a restaurant versus making it at home, you do it for three reasons- food, service, and atmosphere.
If i could i would give this place a -10 and if i could write a whole chapter on this restaurant and how bad their customer service was, i would but to sum it up, anyone thats visiting should reconsider.
The customer service is a zero,
The food portion and quality is a zero,
The hygiene is very very poor.
The prices for the food portion doesnt match…
The people working there also have no manners or respect for their customers.
Me and my family had the worst experience. It’s sad to see a halal resturant to have such poor attitude towards their customers.
Lastly, I’m shocked to see this restaurant has a postive rating on google.
I tried this restaurant a while back and it was a great experience. You can never know what the atmosphere is going to be like places, but the older guy at the counter was respectful and he even took it upon himself to help me take my food …
Tried the Kabsa chicken, the most unflavored that neither salt was added, when brought to the attention to the person in charge of the restaurant, he was unable to offer any other option just to say I am sorry, you have to pay as it will be …
